Seonjamdanji in Seongbuk-dong, Seoul is a silkworm worship site where the Seonjamje rite was held during the Joseon dynasty. Seonjamje was a state ritual that encouraged sericulture among the people and prayed for a good harvest, held in late spring. After the Japanese colonial administration reduced the rite, the spirit tablet was moved to Sajikdan, leaving only the Seonjamdanji site and a hongsalmun gate. The site is currently under excavation and cannot be entered.
