Cafe Mont Kyoto Nijo Kawabata is a dog-friendly cafe near Nijo Bridge along the Kamo River, serving coffee, tea, alcohol, sandwiches and curry. On the first floor, the signature corgi Mon approaches guests, while the second floor is lodging and the third floor is a rental space. Large windows look out onto the Kamo River, and the interior has a dog run, a terrace and Wi-Fi. On weekend afternoons seats are limited and guests may wait, and there are cases where staff remarks were taken as rude by dog-owning families.
