Rokko Garden Terrace

Rokko Garden Terrace sits at 890 metres near the top of Mount Rokko in Kobe, with an observation deck, cafe, restaurant and souvenir shop in one complex. On clear days it looks out over Osaka Bay, central Kobe and the Akashi Strait, and after sunset the night view along the coastline is the main draw. It can be reached by the Rokko Arima Ropeway from the Arima Onsen side or by the Rokko Sanjo bus from the Kobe side. The current facility was renewed in 2003 after an older hotel was demolished, and the mountain road is winding with narrow sections that make night travel inconvenient.
