Osaka Municipal Housing Museum is an indoor local history museum that recreates old Osaka houses and buildings, located at the northern start of Tenjinbashi and directly at the building entrance when you exit the station. The ninth floor holds a set of old houses, where ceiling lighting shifts from morning to night as you walk through tatami rooms and spaces where you remove your shoes. The kimono experience lasts about 25 to 30 minutes, is easier to use the earlier you arrive, and an audio guide is available for rent. The exhibition is small in scale and offers only about five types of kimono.
