Baegakjeong is a pavilion observation deck on the slope of Bugaksan behind Cheong Wa Dae. It looks out over the Gwanghwamun road and the area inside the Four Great Gates, sitting along the Bugaksan hiking trail. The route continues to the Cheong Wa Dae observation deck and Manse Dongbang. On the way up, traces remain of a military barracks, a guard post, and a machine gun stand.
