Osaka Tsuruhashi Market Shopping Street sits directly in front of Tsuruhashi Station, with Korean restaurants, kimchi shops, and seafood and butcher stores lining the street. The representative foods are yakiniku, kimchi, chijimi, and japchae. The shopping street began as a black market in the autumn of 1945, around the end of the war. The alleys are so narrow that people struggle to pass each other, and the area is crowded.
